Why Are Pregnant Women Prone To Gum Infection?

During the time pregnant women are suffering from periodontal disease, they can find a large lump on the inflamed gum tissue. Usually, this occurs near the gum line and will typically have red pinpoint markings which may bleed and crust over. Speaking and eating may become uncomfortable. These may indicate a symptom of pregnancy tumor, which can happen at any stage of pregnancy. The growths of pregnancy tumors are not cancerous and they are not contagious. When particle such as a piece of food or plaque becomes inflamed or irritated makes these tumors occur. It has been found out that the reaction can happen to 10% of pregnant women who are at the same time suffering from gum infection.
